We offer in-person workshops throughout the year —and throughout the state— on a number of topics. We also conduct online webinars, so you can get important information without ever leaving your desk.

This workshop is designed just for you!

Individual benefit estimates are NOT provided at this workshop. To receive a calculation of your supplemental benefit, complete and submit to TRSL a Benefit Estimate Request (Form 10).

Individual Phone Counseling

Your time is golden but so is retirement information.

TRSL offers 45-minute phone call or virtual counseling sessions to members who are within two years of retirement or DROP eligibility. These appointments give you one-on-one time with a TRSL representative to discuss any aspect of your TRSL retirement account on the phone or via Zoom Meeting technology. In addition to the personalized counseling, an estimate of benefits is prepared and mailed to you 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Counseling sessions are held one Thursday and Friday of each month during the fall and spring. These appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and fill up quickly…so be sure to contact TRSL today to schedule yours!

Virtual counseling: Members who select the virtual counseling option (utilizing Zoom), will receive an email approximately one week prior with log in instructions. If you would like to view the requirements for virtual counseling and/or the different ways to join your meeting, click here.

TRSL offers brief online webinars on topics that help you get up to speed on retirement eligibility, the retirement process, DROP, and much more.

Once you're registered, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to join the webinar at the scheduled date and time. You'll also receive a reminder email the day before the webinar.

Our Planning for Your Retirement event will put you on the path toward retirement readiness. If you're within 10 years of retirement or DROP eligibility, this is one you won't want to miss. Let us help you get ready for your financial future!

Are you eligible for Social Security benefits?

If so, you'll want to attend this webinar. We'll go over the basics about your TRSL benefit...PLUS, we'll cover two federal laws that may offset your Social Security benefit — Government Pension Offset (GPO) and Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP).

Annual Employer Training

This "don't miss" training opportunity provides answers to common employer questions on TRSL policies, procedures, data reporting, and return-to-work guidelines.

This year's annual employer training will be held virtually. To view updated information, including each group's agenda and presentation, visit our Employer Training page.

TO REGISTER: Click on your group's "Register Now" button, in the listings below.

Once you're registered, you'll receive an email from Zoom Meeting with instructions on how to join the training at the scheduled date and time. (You'll also receive a reminder email the day before the training.)

You can attend the entire virtual training session or log in only for those topics of interest to you.
On the day of the training, you will be able to use your registration confirmation link throughout the day to come and go as you please.

These topic-specific webinars are a great opportunity for new employees to “learn the ropes” about TRSL reporting. And, they are great refreshers for seasoned employees!
